Once again, all excited about winter and finally getting SNOW! I bundled the kiddies up for a winter wonderland adventure.
However what they say is true, it takes you an hour to get two kids ready for snow-time and they only want to be out for five minutes, despite my incredibly enthusiasm and encouragement, even a ride on the sled! Rosie did quite well, even smiled! Isaac however, after a few steps and realizing his mitts were simply not efficient to do MUCH with, and all his snow gear prevented him from running around without falling (and not being able to get back up) finally just lay there crying "COLD. BRIGHT....COOKIE!"
Ah yes, my child is a possum.
So he suffered through a few rounds on the sled (and even pulled Rosie on it at one point) and then we went inside and had a cup of tea.
Like I said last year, "Oh well, maybe next year."

#22- Home-town Holidays
We headed up North on the 23rd for the night to Eric's hometown, wee little Allenford. Which isn't so little anymore, the Nickason's are expanding!
What a drive... Rosie slept about half an hour and Isaac barely blinked for the 2 1/2 hour trek. at least he wasn't screaming the whole way like the olden days:)
The drive slowed down as Eric paused to show Isaac and Rosie his 'ol stompin' grounds.
We got there a-ok though! Eric went to watch his nephew Max play hockey that night, and the next morning we went out to Owen Sound to visit our old friend Tylor who is back in the area, It was good to see him as we haven't since our wedding in 2007. I met Eric through my old friend Tylor, he's a special guy to us:)
That afternoon was CHRISTMAS AT THE NICKASON'S! As you can see below, quite a pahtay.

#20- A Blurb and a Blur
yes I've been crack-a-lackin' on updating this blog, I got all dedicated in November...but December has been rough.
So in short, I will sum up the last few weeks in photos!
Busy, busy with the holidays and lots of family, and fun, and FOOD!! We have 2 Christmas celebrations down and 3 to go!
We were excited to host my family (the Gascho's) here in London for Christmas on the 18th. As my brother-in-law reminded us, a few months ago we were saying how crazy Christmas 2011 would be with THREE new babies puking, giggling, and gurgling their way around. And I must say, it wasn't quite the all is calm all is bright kind of evening, but certainly lots of fun and exciting to see our little ones getting to know each other and to catch up and just be with family. After all, that's one of the best things about Christmas! (and presents. And enough food in the fridge left over to last us at least a month without needing to buy groceries;) I didn't take too many pictures as there were many snapped by my mom and sisters, but here are a few including from our trip to see my extended family, the DRIEDGERS!

It looks like Josiah finally succeeded in baby-tipping (she was already lying down, but it looks hilarious) |
