Rosalie turned nine months old this month.
The thing that strikes me most about this age is that today she is 9 months, and tomorrow I'll wake up and she will be one.
I remember how FAST Isaac seemed to grow from the day he turned 9 months to the day we celebrated his first birthday. Even those early months after his birthday he grew developmentally SO FAST, turning from a babbling baby into a boisterous boy right before my eyes.
And since it is summer, the months before Rosie's first birthday will fly by even faster. And she'll be walking and talking and telling me jokes while I'm still reeling from the joy of her birth!
Ah... why are they so little for so little time? What if God designed us to be babies for twice the time he gave us now?
Anyway...I am continuing to enjoy every moment and each day brings new delight and wonder!
Rosie is growing and doing very well, she has taken on some VERY girly behaviours which are hilarious to watch (one just in the way she holds up her arm and flops her wrist down as she babbles seriously to whoever is listening while leaning back, it's sooo hilarious) another favourite trick of hers is 'dancing' which is an essential skill in the Buckley household as we hold regular dance parties at any given moment.
She is crawling/scooting/holding onto things to get where she needs to go everywhere and I doubt she will take very long to try walking, but we are not hurrying her attall.
She currently is going through a bit of a hard time with separation anxiety, especially at bedtime, but nothing too severe, though it is strange to hear her crying for more than 3 minutes!
She has gained Isaac's respect in taking back toys he's stolen or smacking him if he is bugging her, and the two of them are really very cute together (tonight she was nibbling on his toes and they were both just giggling away)
It's going to be a delightful summer!
she's so cute. I could just eat her up |
...sigh....she is absolutely amazing and I love her to pieces!!! XOXOX
